LYNNE CIACCO PAINTINGS PORTFOLIOS
Calabria Series (2009-2010)
Based on my visit to Southern Italy, these paintings express the rich textures, warm hues, and multi-layered history of the varied palazzos that line the narrow streets and steep hillsides of Calabria. To capture the feeling of these gorgeous, crumbling façades I have used acrylics, fabrics, laces, and my own digital imagery, on canvas.
Small Works (ongoing)
Stop by this gallery often to see work fresh from my studio. I am presently exploring an intuitive, highly texturized technique of painting using acrylics and mixed media. I begin with no set idea but allow the composition to develop and the story to unfold.
Acrylics Miscellany (2005-2008)
An assortment of acrylic and mixed media paintings that began with no set compostion or direction but unfolded through an intuitive process of applying pigment and textures.
Flowers for Healing (1998-2000)
As each flower painting struggled to grow and bloom, I gradually sensed a certain emotion being induced within myself by the colours and forms. A flower, a painting, an emotion—each is a wondrous source for meditation and thereby, healing.
